Box Score IWLCA Release

HIGH POINT, N.C. - The High Point University women's lacrosse team has been named a 2016 IWLCA/Zag Sports Academic Honor Squad in recognition of the superior efforts of the program's student-athletes in the classroom.
 
It marks the third-straight season the Panthers have garnered the accolade. HPU is one of 93 Division I programs to receive the honor. Teams must total a combined GPA of 3.0 or higher to qualify as an Academic Honor Squad.
 
The Panthers combined for an impressive 3.38 GPA during the 2016 spring semester and the Purple & White carry a 3.27 cumulative GPA. That number marks the highest combined GPA in program history.
 
"Our girls continue to make academic performance a priority and I'm proud of what we've accomplished as a program," head coach Lyndsey Boswell said. "84 percent of our student-athletes carry a GPA of 3.0 or above and I expect that number to continue to rise each season."
