Game Notes HIGH POINT, N.C. – The High Point University men's lacrosse team continues its challenging non-conference slate at No. 4 Maryland on Saturday at noon in College Park, Md.
The Terrapins (0-0) mark the second top-five foe of the season for the Panthers (0-2). High Point opened the season at No. 3 Duke before hosting Boston University on Tuesday.
Last Time Out• The Terriers jumped out to a 3-0 lead and then extended the advantage to 6-1 at the end of the first quarter. HPU fought back winning the second period 3-0 to pull within two at half. However, BU scored the first two goals of the third and held on for a 13-10 win in Vert Stadium on Tuesday.

Michael LeClair tied his career high with four goals while dishing out two assists. The six-point outing was one shy of the program record LeClair shares with
Matt Thistle.
• Senior
Zack Price had a solid defensive performance equaling his career high with four caused turnovers and three ground balls.

Dan Lomas joined LeClair with four goals as he added an assist to finish the day with five points.
• Freshman
Alex Woodall led the team with seven ground balls while going 12-of-20 at the face-off X.

Michael LeClair form the nation's eighth-highest scoring returning trio after combining for 152 points in 2015.
• The three have combined for 18 of the squad's 25 points this season.
Active National Leaders• Senior
Dan Lomas is third among active players nationally with 127 career goals. The Burlington, Ontario native also ranks eighth in the nation in career points (143).

Matt Thistle with 151 - good for fifth nationally. He's second in assists (82).

Jamie Piluso leads all active players in face-offs won (520) and ground balls (262).
Scouting the Terrapins• The Terrapins were originally scheduled to open their season on Feb. 13 against Navy, but the game was cancelled due to inclement weather.
• In 2015, Maryland posted a 15-4 record and advanced to the NCAA National Championship where it lost 10-5 to Denver.
• The squad was picked to finish second in the Big Ten behind Johns Hopkins, who the Terps beat 12-11 in the national semifinals.
• Maryland boasts six players who received preseason All-America recognition from Inside Lacrosse. Senior goalie Kyle Berhlohr was named to the first team while senior Matt Dunn and junior Isaiah Davis-Allen were picked for the second team. Junior Matt Rambo (third team) and senior Pat Young (honorable mention) round out the sextet.
• Behind Bernlohr, Dunn, Young and Davis-Allen, the Terrapins defense posted the top goals-against average in the nation (7.05).
• Junior Jon Garino (63-of-127) and freshman Austin Henningsen figure to see most of the time in the face-off circle replacing All-American Charlie Raffa.
All-Time Series with MarylandSaturday marks the first time that the Panthers and Maryland have met in men's lacrosse.
All-Time Against the Big Ten The Purple & White did not play a Big Ten team last season - the conference's first season of existence. However, HPU is 2-0 against Michigan with 13-10 win in 2013 and 9-7 triumph in 2014.
Maryland versus the SoConThe Terps are 10-0 against current members of the SoCon with a perfect record against Air Force (6-0) and Bellarmine (4-0).
