CASHIERS, N.C. – High Point University men's golf's sophomore
Christian Casingal placed third as the squad finished fifth in the Hummingbird Intercollegiate on Tuesday in Cashiers, N.C.

Casingal carded a 70 (-1) to move from sixth at the start of the day into a third-place finish (71, 70, -1). The Charleston, W. Va. product was consistent all week and led the field with 30 pars in the tournament.

As a team, High Point fired a 300 (+16) to complete the 36-hole event at the Country Club of Sapphire Valley in fifth place (292, 300, +24).

Brendan MacDougall shot a +5 (76) on Tuesday. The Calgary, Alberta native finished the week tied for 14th (70, 76, +5).

Alec Weary recorded a matching 76 (+4) on the day while placing in a tie for 28th (75, 76, +9).

RJ Bartolomucci (78, 78, +14) and junior
Emile Menard (76, 82, +16) rounded out the Panthers' lineup to place tied for 42nd and 50th, respectively.

Davis Kiger matched his total from the first round with a 78 to finish tied for 42nd overall.
