NORMAN, Okla. – For the third year in a row, a High Point University men's golfer has been named a 2024-25 Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar, which was announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America on Tuesday afternoon.
Fred Roberts IV earns his second Cobalt Golf Division I All-America Scholar accolade and his fourth after being named a Division III All-America Scholar twice.
A native of Richmond Hill, Ga., Roberts IV graduated from Piedmont University with a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration of Data Analytics, while earning his Master of Business Administration from HPU.
It marks the third consecutive year two Panthers have earned this prestigious award with Roberts IV joining
Grady Newton as 2024-2025 All-America Scholars.
A total of 549 Division I men's golfers from 188 schools were named Cobalt Golf All-America Scholars.
To be nominated, a student-athlete must be a sophomore, junior, or senior both academically and athletically; participate in 50% of their team's competitive rounds, have a stroke average under 76.0, and maintain a minimum cumulative career grade-point average of 3.2.
