LIVE STATS

HIGH POINT, N.C. –
The High Point University women's lacrosse team opens its 2015 Big South schedule with a contest at league newcomer Gardner-Webb on Saturday.

First draw between the Panthers and Runnin' Bulldogs is set for 3:30 p.m. inside Spangler Stadium. Fans can follow the game via live stats by clicking here.

The Panthers return from a two-week competitive hiatus to take on Gardner-Webb. Last time out, HPU fell in a triple overtime heartbreaker, 11-10, at Villanova on March 21. The Wildcats led 10-9 with less than two minutes to play, but a clutch goal from junior Emily Meier sent the game into overtime. After three stellar defensive overtime sessions by High Point, Villanova posted a goal with 1:26 remaining to escape with the victory.

Meier led the Panthers with a career-best four goals and registered two draw controls on the day. All six of the junior's shots were on goal against the Wildcats. Senior Kendyl Gardner and freshman Erica Perrotta each tallied two goals on the day while junior Leah Pace added two goals, two ground balls and three draw controls.

RENNER TENDERS POSSESSION AFTER POSSESSION
Junior midfielder Kristina Renner is doing a little bit of everything for the Panthers this season. The East Rochester, N.Y., native is HPU's leader in creating and maintaining possessions in the midfield or High Point this season. She ranks No. 36 nationally and eighth in the Big South in ground balls per game (2.56) and picked up a career-best six GBs in HPU's game vs. UMBC on Feb. 28. Renner also leads the Panthers with 24 draw controls on the year and registered a personal-best six vs. Vermont on March 4. She is tied for the team lead in caused turnovers with 10.

PANTHERS RETURN TO CONFERENCE PLAY
The High Point University women's lacrosse team has conquered conference play at an elite level during its first four seasons as a program. Combining HPU's first two years in the NLC and last two in the Big South, the Panthers have compiled an impressive 26-2 (.929) record in league play. The .929 conference winning percentage is sixth-best in the nation over the past four seasons. HPU has won the first two Big South Tournament titles (2013, 2014) and advanced to the NCAA Tournament in each of the past two seasons.

HISTORY vs. GARDNER-WEBB
Saturday's contest marks the first ever meeting between the Panthers and Runnin' Bulldogs in women's lacrosse. Gardner-Webb is in the midst of its inaugural women's lacrosse season in 2015.
