HIGH POINT, N.C. – The High Point University women's lacrosse team plays the first contest in a two-game homestand Sunday when the Panthers welcome Longwood to Vert Stadium.

First draw is scheduled for 3 p.m. between High Point and Longwood. The game will air live on the Big South Network, with live stats also available via highpointpanthers.com.

Last time out, HPU fell in an overtime heartbreaker at Liberty, 16-15, on Friday in Lynchburg. High Point lead for much of the game and held a 14-12 advantage with 1:21 to play. But the Flames posted two goals to send the game into overtime, then recorded two of the three goals in the extra session to escape with the victory.

Junior
Allie Foard put together another explosive offensive performance for the Panthers with a game-high six points on five goals and an assist. Senior
Kendyl Gardner added three goals for HPU while junior
Leah Pace notched two goals and an assist while registering four draw controls. Senior
Stephanie Pazulski posted her second-straight three point effort (2g, 1a).

Foard is second in the Big South with 5.60 points per game in conference play and t-2
nd in goals per game (3.80).

In the midfield, freshman
Erica Perrotta grabbed four draws, three ground balls and caused four turnovers, while junior defender
Tori Dunster added a career-high four caused turnovers and two ground balls.

Senior goalkeeper
Julia Burns made a number of key saves and finished with a game-high 13 in 66 minutes in the cage.

DIVAS OF THE DRAWJuniors
Leah Pace and
Kristina Renner are putting together outstanding seasons at the draw in 2015. Through 14 games this season, Renner leads the team with 36 draw controls while Pace ranks second with 32. Both players will have a chance to top the HPU single-season record, held by current assistant coach
Grace Gaeng (47, 2012). In league play, Pace is fourth in the Big South with 3.20 draw controls/game.

A LOOK AT THE LANCERS (5-10, 3-2)The Lancers were picked to finish third in the 2015 Big South preseason poll. In the team's most recent outing, the Lancers fell to Winthrop, 15-4, on Friday in Farmville. LWU is led by junior attack Katie McHugh, who is tied with Foard for second in the conference with 3.80 goals/game in league play. Junior midfielder Ezra Butler is second on the team with 47 points (32g, 15a). Senior goalkeeper Christian Acker has played 807:33 in the cage for LWU and has posted a 12.19 goals against average and .438 save percentage.

HISTORY vs. LONGWOODHigh Point is 6-0 all-time against Longwood, including a 2-0 mark inside Vert Stadium. In last season's meeting with the Lancers, HPU won in Farmville, 17-7, on April 19. Gardner posted a hat trick for the Panthers in the win.
