High Point fell to Charleston Southern, 3-0, Friday night in Big South Conference volleyball action at the CSU Field House. The Panthers were unable to complete a season sweep of the Lady Bucs, who earned the win by a linescore of 30-22, 31-29, 30-23.

The Panthers drop to 14-11 (4-3 in the Big South), while the Lady Bucs improve to 8-10 (3-5).

Jamie Kaufman led the way for the Panthers with 14 kills, while Kim Anderson provided a match-high 17 digs for HPU.

Anderson has now reached double-figures in digs in 29 consecutive matches dating back to last season (the nation's sixth-longest streak).

Michelle Feiser had 36 assists, 10 digs and five kills on a team-high .273 hitting percentage, while Lindsey Pickens added 10 digs and five kills.

Jillian Worby (11 kills) led the way offensively for the Lady Bucs, who got 10 kills from Jenni Shepherd.

Katie O'Riordan had 32 assists for CSU. tonight. O'Riordan, Worby and Laren San Martin recorded nine digs each for the Lady Bucs.

"We played well on defense and were able to pick up a lot of balls, but we weren't real crisp offensively," HPU head coach Chad Esposito said. "We had a lot of errors and were really inconsistent.

"To their credit, Charleston Southern played very hard and agressive on their home court. We tried everything we could to win and fought hard but couldn't buy a break. We didn't do a good enough job of shutting them down."
