HIGH POINT, N.C. – The Big South Conference announced the volleyball Players of the Week on Monday, September 21 naming two High Point University student-athletes to the selection. Gabby Hill was named the Player of the Week and Remy Catojo was named the Setter of the Week.
 
Hill picked up her first Player of the Week award after having a career weekend averaging 4.13 kills per set on a .509 hitting percentage. She posted a career-high 23 kills with a .526 hitting percentage in the win over NC A&T and added 10 kills in the sweep over Wofford. Adding to her stats, she picked up seven digs, a block and a service ace across both games, helping the Panthers go 2-0 in the High Point Invitational.
 
Catojo helped guide the HPU offense setting up her teammates with 83 assists to average 10.38 per set. Her 49 assists versus NC A&T was a new season-high as she contributed three kills, six digs and a block. Against Wofford she had a double-double with 34 assists and 10 digs. Her 34 assists helped her reach her 1000th career assist just nine games into her sophomore season. She also added three kills on a .375 hitting percentage versus the Terriers.
 
High Point will open Big South Conference play on Friday, September 25 at the Millis Center, welcoming Radford University for a match at 6:00 p.m.
