Biography

2009: Posted 4-4 record in 12 starts ... Pitched 69-1/3 innings, striking out 26 with only 13 walks ... Earned no-decision at VMI (5/15) after pitching 7-1/3 innings, giving up two runs and striking out three ... Picked up the save at UNC Asheville on March 30.

2008: Came on strong at end of season ... Dropped ERA by more than four runs once put into starting rotation ... Pitched 1-1/3 innings of shutout ball to pick up win over Penn State (2/24) ... Won back-to-back starts over UNC Asheville (3/30) and at Charleston Southern (4/6) ... Did not allow an earned run over eight innings of work against Charleston Southern ... Picked up no-decision in Big South Conference tournament game tossing 6-1/3 innings allowing two runs (one earned) ... Made second most starts and pitched fourth highest number of innings ... Continued late season success into the summer ... 4-3 record with 3.04 ERA for Kernersville Bulldogs ... Struck out 36 and surrendered only 39 hits in 47-1/3 innings pitched ... Named to All-Tournament team ... Started tournament opener throwing seven innings of shutout ball giving up just one hit and striking out 11 ... Team won CVCL Championship with 40-11 mark.

2007: Threw 25-2/3 innings in 13 appearances, two by way of start.

Prep: A standout at North Forsyth, where as a junior he was voted the Player of the Year in the Metro 4A Conference … All-Conference and a member of a conference championship team in 2004, 2005 and 2006 … Part of a 2006 team that went 30-2, was ranked No. 1 in North Carolina and No. 14 in the nation, and set a North Carolina high school record for longest undefeated streak (30) … Member of the Region 5 State Games … Went 10-0 with an ERA of 1.87 as a senior.
