FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The NCAA Division I Indoor Track & Field committee has announced the qualifiers for the 2026 NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships, held at the University of Arkansas in the Randal Tyson Center. This will be the first time at Arkansas since 2021. High Point University men's track & field team had two student-athletes qualify, including
Ricardo Montes de Oca in the men's pole vault and
Justin Sluijter in the men's long jump. The meet will take place on March 13-14.
For the second consecutive indoor season, Montes de Oca has qualified in the men's pole vault after clearing a program and Big South record 5.68m during the indoor regular season at the Doc Hale Invitational (Feb. 6-7). His mark of 5.68m ranks 9th nationally. He recently rounded out the season crowned the Big South Indoor Men's Pole Vault Champion after clearing 5.37m. Montes de Oca will compete on Friday March 13 at 4:45 PM CT.
Sluijter qualified for the NCAA Indoor meet for the first time in his career in the men's long jump. At the Big South Championships, he jumped a program and Big South record 7.89m in the long jump which ranks 13th nationally. Sluijter cleared over 7.50m in all four indoor meets during the regular season. He will compete on Friday March 13 at 7:00 PM CT in the men's long jump.
