TRYON, N.C. – The High Point University men's and women's track & field teams will travel to Tryon, North Carolina for the Big South Track & Field Indoor Championships beginning on February 27 going through February 28. The meet will take place for the first time ever at the Tryon International.

Radford,
UNC Asheville,
USC Upstate and
Winthrop. Parking at Tryon International is $10, while admission is free. Spectators are NOT allowed to enter competition areas and must avoid going into team spaces.

The Panthers are seeking their fourth straight Big South Indoor Championship titles for both squads in Head Coach
Mike Esposito's final year at the helm before retiring this summer after 21 years.
The Pentathlon will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Friday morning with all five events occurring throughout the day. The Heptathlon will start at 9:15 a.m. with the first four events on Friday and the final three events on Saturday beginning at 11:00 a.m. Various field events will start at 1:00 p.m. and the running events on the track will start at 2:30 p.m. On Saturday, the track events will start at 2:00 p.m. and the field events will kick-off at 12:15 p.m.
2025-26 Indoor Season
Finishing out the indoor regular season, the Panther women have three athletes ranked in the TFRRS Top 50 in their respective events.
Zamesha Myle sits at 33rd in the women's triple jump after breaking the program record with a career-best 13.04m mark at the Liberty Kickoff.
Ashlyn Giles is 36th in the women's shot put after breaking the program record multiple times this season with her best throw of 16.31m at the Camel City Distance meet.
Brianna Malone is ranked 50th in the women's one mile after clocking a program and Big South record, 4:34.86 time.
On the men's side in the overall USTFCCCA rankings, the team is 56th overall. Five Panthers are ranked in the TFRRS Top 50 in their respective events.
Ricardo Montes de Oca is 10th in the men's pole vault rankings after clearing a program and Big South record 5.68m at the Doc Hale Invitational. Also in the men's pole vault, Jason Olivera, Jr. is 30th with a career-best 5.43m and
Grant Gogel is 44th with a 5.33m mark, both occurring at the Doc Hale Invitational.
For the men's event squad rankings, High Point was ranked 4th in the pole vault (5.43m avg.) and the heptathlon (5,096 pt avg.) and 9th in the Southeast Regional. The women were ranked 12th in the pole vault (3.94m avg.).
