CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Maya Bukovcan of the High Point University volleyball team was named the Big South Player of the Week on Monday afternoon after producing an efficient weekend on the attack and block for the Panthers. High Point swept both matches on the road against USC Upstate and UNC Asheville led by Bukovcan.

Bukovcan averaged 3.67 kills per set, 2.00 blocks per set and 1.33 digs per set to average 5.08 points per set. She finished the weekend going 22-for-28 with one hitting error for a .750 hitting percentage. She broke the HPU program record at UNC Asheville hitting 9-for-10 on the attack for a .900 hitting percentage. She totaled 12 blocks with a weekend high eight at UNC Asheville. Adding to her stats, she picked up eight digs, an assist and a service ace. This was Bukovcan's second time being selected as the Big South Player of the Week this season.

High Point will participate in a non-conference mid-week matchup at the College of Charleston on October 6 at 6:00 p.m. in Charleston, South Carolina.
