HIGH POINT, N.C. - The Big South Conference has announced it's weekly awards for the week of November 9 through November 16 as High Point Univesity's
Aaliyah Collins was named Player of the Week.
Collins helped the Panthers to a 2-0 week, pushing the team to their first 4-0 start in program history at the Division I level.
She averaged 24.0 points, 5.0 assists, 3.0 steals, 2.5 rebounds and 2.0 blocks in the perfect week for HPU. Collins opened the week with a 21-point performance against Merrimack where she recorded five steals, a career-high four blocks and three assists in the 82-69 win. On Sunday, Nov. 16, Collins tallied a career-high 27 points on 10-of-17 from the floor, with a season-high seven assists, three rebounds, and one steal in the 84-68 win over East Carolina.
High Point is back in the Qubein Center on Wednesday, Nov. 19 when hosting University of Vermont at 7:00 p.m.
