HIGH POINT, N.C. - The Big South Conference has announced its weekly awards for the week of November 2 through November 9 as High Point University's
Macy Spencer was named Player of the Week.
Spencer started both games this week and made an immediate impact on the floor for her debut in the Purple and White. The Panthers start the season 2-0 as Spencer played a key role in both the wins against Johnson C. Smith and Wofford.
In the season opener, Spencer saw 20 minutes on the court where she worked for 17 points, and three rebounds. She went 6-10 from the field and knocked down 4-of-5 three pointers. In the win over Wofford, she played all but one minute and registered a career-high 24 points, with three rebounds, and dished out two assists. Spencer went 5-5 from the free throw line, and recorded one steal.
The Panthers are back on the home court on Wednesday, November 12 at 7:00 p.m. as they host Merrimack College.
