CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Two High Point University Panthers from the women's cross cross country team have once again been awarded with Big South Conference weekly honors. Brianna Malone shined at the Panorama Farms Invitational and has taken home another conference Runner of the Week Honor. Freshman Olivia Purdy has been named Big South Freshman of the Week for a third time this fall. 

Malone placed 6th at the meet with a time of 20:29.3 and was tied with the fastest 3k split at 10:08.6. The junior has now been awarded with her third Big South Runner of the Week honor this season. 

Purdy placed 54th at the Charlottesville, Va., meet and clocked in with a 21:54.3 finish. She was just over four seconds from placing within the top 50. Purdy's 2k and 3k splits both placed her within the top 50 mark. 

Catch both Malone and Purdy along with the 14th ranked High Point Panthers at the Big South Conference Championships on October 31 in Farmville, Va.
