HIGH POINT, N.C. – The High Point University women's basketball team added two familiar faces to the staff for the upcoming 2024-25 season. A five-year Panther,
Callie Scheier has been named the Director of Player Development. Elise Fralin, a graduate from HPU and the most recent four-year student manager has been named the Director of Operations for the Panthers.
The Clemmons, N.C. native, Scheier graduated from High Point in the spring of 2024 after earning her master's in communications and business leadership. She played all five of her collegiate years at High Point as she saw action in 131 games in the Purple and White. Missing out on most of her senior season due to injury, Scheier battled back for a full recovery to compete in her graduate season this past winter. Off the court, Scheier was tabbed with a three-time Big South All-Academic Team nominee as well as being listed to the Big South Presidential Honor Roll three times. She was awarded the Big South Commissioner's Award in 2021-22, and after the 2022-23 season. Scheier was also listed to the 2023-24 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team with her 3.92 GPA.
Fralin, a 2024 High Point University graduate, received her degree in Sport Management and is now working towards her MBA in Business and Analytics. A four-year student manager for the HPU women's basketball team, Fralin always knew she wanted to get involved with basketball on campus. Head Coach
Chelsea Banbury recognized the hard work and passion Fralin had for the Panthers and gave her the opportunity to become a full-time staff member as she will work in the role of Director of Operations. Fralin's goal is to be as impactful of a leader she can be on and off the court for the girls.
Both new hires bring a ton of excitement to the court and are eager to get to work with the 2024-25 High Point Panthers.
