Head Coach Joey Hammond: "Unfortunately we were just outplayed in every aspect today. They were simply better than us at everything. We fought and gave ourselves a chance after Carr's homer to tie it in the 5th inning but we just couldn't keep momentum for more than a half inning all day."
Matt Little started game three for the Panthers. Little pitched four innings, allowing four runs, on eight hits, striking out two batters. In what was a bullpen game after Little came out, six different pitchers took the mound.
Jake Potts,
Christian Baker,
Sean Duffy,
Joey Tuttoilmondo,
David Keith, and
Lucas Glover all took the ball for HPU this afternoon.
Once again, HPU jumped out to an early lead.
Eric Grintz with two strikes sent one up the middle as
Brayden Simpson jogged on home for the first run of the game.
Longwood answered and tied it up at one in the third inning off a Lancer double down the left field line.

The Lancers took a two-run lead in the top of the fourth as they hit two doubles to bring home a pair of runners.
Peyton Carr who has had himself one heck of a weekend back in the Purple and White has added to his resume with a blistering home run to tie the game at five in the fifth inning.
Longwood's bats came alive in the sixth as they plated seven runs on four hits and batted around the order. That made it a 11-4 game with three innings to play. The Lancers added their 12
th run in the top of the ninth off an RBI single to right field.
Stuart recorded his second RBI of the afternoon in the bottom of the ninth on a grounder to the shortstop scoring
