HIGH POINT, N.C. – The High Point University baseball team fell to the Aggies of North Carolina A&T State University, 5-4, on Tuesday night at Truist Point.

Head Coach Joey Hammond: "We didn't play well. It's been a couple games in a row. I got to be better, and our guys got to be better. We'll respond, we got a few couple of good practices and a big weekend coming up. We just have to play better. We continued to miss on the bottom half of the ball in a big park."
Eight different pitchers saw action on the mound tonight.
Dalton Olsovsky got the start and went two innings, allowing just one hit.
Joey Tuttoilmondo went two innings as well, allowing just two hits, and no runs, striking out two batters.
Zack Oswald,
Howell Polk,
Braden Halladay,
Tyler Romanias,
Noah Carter, and
Cael Chatham rounded it out for the HPU bullpen.
The Panthers got on the board first in the third inning. The Aggies walked the bases loaded, and
Adam Stuart was the victim of a hit by pitch that brought home the first run of the game.
In the fourth,
Dawson Harman rocked a ball over the left center wall for a two-run shot to boost the lead to, 3-0.
The Aggies brought it back to a tie game in the top of the fifth off a few walks, and a hit. They jumped out to their first lead of the game in the sixth as Enrique Wood singled through the left side bringing home a runner. The Aggies led the Panthers, 4-3.
In the seventh, NC A&T pushed out to a two-run lead as a run scored off a groundout to the first basemen.
Peyton Carr got one back for High Point in the bottom half of the seventh as he grounded into a double play, but
Konni Durschlag was standing on third and was able to cross the plate.
The Panthers failed to put anything else together at the plate as the Aggies pulled away with a 5-4 victory on Tuesday night at Truist Point.
