The High Point University track and field teams competed at both the Charlotte Invitational and the East Coast Relays in Jacksonville, Florida. A combined six athletes finished in the top-10 in five events at both events.Â

In Jacksonville,
Alex Hoffman finished fourth in the men's hammer throw with a mark of 55.86m.
Michael Henson finished 10
th in the high jump with a new personal record as well, clearing 1.96m while
Alex Constantinou was 14
th at 1.91m.

Chris Van Niekerk finished fifth in the shot put with a toss of 17.52m while Hoffman was ninth with a mark of 15.43m.
Freddie Allen III was ninth in the long jump at 17.27m and Henson was 18
th at 6.88m.
Larry Coaxum finished 22
nd at 6.78m,
Evan Mills was 24
th with a mark of 6.69m, and
Dekairi Brown was 26
th at 6.61m.

In the running events,
Aidan Britt finished the 200m dash in 22.26 seconds while
Terris Burton II was sixth in the 400m hurdles in 52.14 seconds.

At Charlotte,
Aiden Morrison was fifth in the 3,000m steeplechase in 9:22.77 while
Evan J. Mills was seventh in 9:44.04.
Jake Fiorillo was also 29
th in the 1,500m run with a time of 3:54.80. In the 800m run,
Reilly Mazzetti finished in 1:54.66.

Up Next: High Point competes at day two of the East Coast Relays in Jacksonville tomorrow. Saturday's men's events begin on the track at 12:50 p.m. while the field events are set to start at 10:00 a.m.
