HIGH POINT, N.C. - The 2025-26 Academic All-District® Men's Track & Field/Cross Country teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. High Point University had three men's athletes selected to the list including,
Reid Holloway,
Shaun Thomas and
Cole Wilson.
Holloway completed his collegiate career with a 3.69 GPA in computer science. At the Big South Indoor Championships, he was crowned the pole vault champion after clearing 5.31m. During the outdoor season, he qualified for the NCAA Division I East First Rounds and cleared 5.20m at the meet finishing in 16th place.
Thomas rounded out his junior season in the classroom with a 3.57 GPA in accounting. As one of HPU's top high jumpers, he finished as the Big South Outdoor Champion, clearing 2.15m and the runner-up at the Big South Indoor Championships with a 2.06m clear. Thomas went on to compete at the NCAA Division I East First Rounds for the third consecutive season.
Wilson obtained his master's in communication and business leadership during his graduate student season and finished with a 3.64 GPA. Wilson capped his career as an NCAA Second Team All-American after placing ninth in the decathlon and registering a Big South and program record 7,855 points. He swept the Big South Decathlon and Heptathlon Championships for the third straight season, while his 5,815 points in the heptathlon set a new Big South record, meet record and program record.
