Head Coach Zach Haines: "A complete performance tonight. We really focused after the Radford game. Making sure we didn't have any let downs or mentality shifts after we scored a goal or went up one or two goals and letting the other team get some momentum back. The guys were incredible, every reaction after we scored a goal was let's keep going, let's keep pushing and not slow down. That led to a 90-minute complete performance that we have been building towards. We are really excited for the direction we are heading, and I think this will carry us through the next game against Presbyterian on Wednesday.

HPU came out with a different sort of fight in them then previous games. Not giving Longwood any chances early and dominating the ball on both sides.

It all began in the 15th minute allowing Seth Antwi to net his first of the regular season and open the scoring for the Panthers. Antwi intercepted a pass from the Lancers at the top of the box. He took control of the ball and fired his shot with an open right lane past a diving keeper. HPU took an early lead.

It wasn't long until Noah Holmes scored his second goal. It came in the 23rd minute off Alex Abril's assist to Holmes. Kaya Ignacio tried finding Holmes in the box, but it trickled off a defender's foot. The ball was sent in the air in Abril's direction, he headed it back into Holmes's control who took his shot finding the back of the net with a defender on his back. This was his second goal in two games.

At the end of the first half, HPU held a 2-0 advantage over the Lancers.

The start of the second half, HPU held possession for the majority of the first 12 minutes, the guys knew something was brewing and it was bound to happen.

Who but Noah Holmes to come in clutch with an absolute beauty to send the Panthers up three. In the 62nd minute, Finn McRobb crossed one to the far-right corner where Abril took a touch bouncing it to Ignacio. Ignacio slipped it right to Holmes who was standing in front of the net. Holmes, while boxing out a defender used his right heel to lead the ball through the defenders' legs right to the back of the net. This was his second goal tonight and his third in just two games.

It only took another five minutes of play for HPU to go up by four. Brendan Krueger who has been out most of the season with an injury, came in tonight and took care of business. He brought the lead up to four in the 67th minute. Holmes found Krueger running into the middle of the box and sent him the ball. Krueger was able to set himself up for a perfect shot firing it past the keeper. This was his first of the season, and the goal that sent HPU home with a 4-0 victory.

Josh Caron recorded his second shutout victory of the year. Caron made two saves in the contest.

HPU outshot the Lancers 19-11 and 5-1 on corners.

Up Next: The Panthers are back home at Vert Stadium in another conference game against Presbyterian Wednesday, Oct. 11 at 7 p.m.
