Big South Female Field Athlete of the Week

Dawson won the women's long jump with a mark of 6.22m, currently ranked 12th in the NCAA East Region.  Dawson's mark just had an illegal wind, which prevented it from breaking the school record.

Big South Male Field Athlete of the Week

Van Niekerk won the men's discus with a throw of 56.97m. Van Niekerk finished in third place in the men's shotput with a throw of 17.80m.  Always the workhorse, Van Niekerk set a personal best in the men's hammer with a mark of 49.22m to finish in fifth.
