Furman University Golf Club
Furman University Golf Club is a challenging, par-72 golf course that is widely recognized as not only the #1 public course in Greenville, but the top public course in the upstate. It underwent major renovations in 2008, which included reconstruction of all 18 greens under USGA specifications to Champion Ultra-Dwarf Bermudagrass.  The renovations also included new practice facilities for the Furman golf teams, as well as enhanced public practice facilities, irrigation upgrades, clubhouse enhancements, and new tees to accommodate golfers of all skill sets. The course stretches to over 7,000 yards from the back tees and plays longer on the back nine than it does the front.

Format and Schedule
The tournament will be a 54-hole competition, starting with Saturday's 36-hole shotgun start. The final 18 holes will be played on Sunday with standard tee times. For the tournament, the course will play as a par-71 at a total yardage of 7,005.

Last Time Out
High Point last competed at the Carolina Collegiate in Spartanburg, South Carolina from October 9-October 11. The Panthers finished 11th out of 14 teams in the field, carding a 24-over par 898 as a team. Alan Smith led the way for the Panthers, finishing with a 1-over par 217 and finished tied for 15th. Smith has now led the Panthers in scoring in three consecutive events.

Up Next
High Point will return to the Triad for its final tournament of the fall during the weekend of October 29 & 30 to partake in the Grandover Intercollegiate in Greensboro, N.C. The Panthers will also be hosting their inaugural HPU Golf Family Weekend while at the tournament.
