The Premier Lacrosse League announced on Thursday evening that former Panther, Tim Troutner Jr., was named Rookie of the Year. Troutner, a goalie and 2019 HPU graduate, recorded 116 saves with 11.4 scores against average for the Redwoods this season. As a rookie, Troutner seized the opportunity on the biggest stage, having a 57.1% save percentage in the cage during the postseason. This adds another accolade to the young career of Troutner, who is the all-time wins leader at High Point.
