HIGH POINT, N.C. – Seniors Emma Bockrath and Lindsey Edwards of the High Point University women's basketball team earned Google Cloud Academic All-District honors announced by the Collegiate Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Thursday (Feb. 21).
 
Bockrath was named to the Academic All-District teams in 2016 and 2017. She currently leads the Panthers with 16.2 points per game and 7.3 rebounds per game. Bockrath is 15^th in the NCAA in steals per game at 3.13. In the classroom, the Dayton, Ohio native boasts a 3.80 GPA while majoring in Biology-Health Science. She becomes the first player in program history to achieve the honor three times.
 
Edwards has a 3.93 cumulative GPA with a major in Communication-Strategic Communication. On the court, Edwards averages 10.7 points, 4.8 rebounds and 2.3 steals per game. She is a two-time Big South All-Academic Team selection and a three-time Millis Scholar Athlete honoree.
 
Both will now be eligible for the CoSIDA Academic All-America Team, which recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom.
 
The Panthers will be back in action Saturday, Feb. 23, as they host Gardner-Webb at 4 p.m. in the Millis Center.
