HIGH POINT, N.C. - Thirteen members of the High Point University men's soccer team will be furthering their development with various teams in the Premier Development League (DPL and the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL) this summer. Seven of the players will play for local teams in North Carolina.
Most notably, the Panthers will have six players join the Carolina Dynamo of the PDL headlined by rising juniorÂ
Ryan Inman (D / Birmingham, England) and redshirt-seniorÂ
Daniel McClintock (D / Glastonburry, Conn.). In addition, sophomores
Dylan Bradley (M / Birmingham, Ala.),
George Ekdahl (F/M / Phoenix, Ariz.), and
Nick Phipps (D / Greensboro, N.C.) will join the Dynamo with incoming freshman Tony Pineda (F/M / Statesville, N.C.) suiting up as well. Rising senior
Ryeong Choi (M/D / High Point, N.C.) will be a member of the North Carolina FC U-23 side that competes in the same division as the Dynamo.
The PDL's vast network of teams also loops in redshirt-juniorÂ
Pat Fallon (GK / Swarthmore, Pa.) with the Ocean City Nor'Easters and sophomore
Daniel Shahim (D/M, Houston, Texas) with Brazos Valley Cavalry FC, an affiliate of the MLS' Houston Dynamo.
Three standouts from 2017's squad will suit up for the Des Moines Menace of the PDL in rising senior
Johnny Fenwick (D / Newcastle upon Tyne, England), redshirt-junior
Keegan Meyer (GK / Silver Spring, Md.) and junior
Jonathan Bolanos (F/M / Miramar, Fla). The Menace had the best success of the four sides last year, advancing to the Central Conference final.
Redshirt-freshman

The developmental season has begun with a few games last weekend before all teams are in action this coming weekend, May 11-13.
