CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Redshirt-senior outfielder 
Tim Mansfield of the High Point University baseball team was named the Big South Player of the Week, the league announced on Monday. Mansfield hit .727 over the weekend to help lead the Panthers to a sweep of Charleston Southern.
Mansfield went 8-11 in three games against the Buccaneers and accounted for nine of the Panthers' 13 runs in the series with five RBI and four runs scored. The redshirt-senior recorded multiple hits in every game and finished the weekend with three doubles and three stolen bases.
The conference honor is the first for Mansfield and the fourth of the season for the Panthers. Freshman 
Drew Daczkowski was named the Big South Come Ready Nutrition Freshman of the Week on March 6, junior 
Austen Zente was named Big South Player of the Week on April 3 and junior 
Jordan Sergent was the Big South Pitcher of the Week on April 24.
High Point wraps up its midweek slate on Tuesday, May 9, when the team travels to Winston-Salem, N.C., to take on Wake Forest. The Panthers dropped the first meeting between the two sides, 18-8, at Williard Stadium. First pitch in the game is set for 6 p.m.
