HIGH POINT, N.C. - College Sports Communicators announced its Academic All-District Team as High Point University's James Murphy earned a spot on the list. 

Murphy started all 54 games played in at the shortstop position for the Panthers. Batting .259 with nine doubles, one triple, 13 home runs, and 39 runs batted in. Murphy was a crucial part of the HPU's defense as a shortstop who played to a .939 fielding percentage, turning 19 double plays and was a part of 61 putouts. In the classroom, Murphy graduated with a 3.96 GPA and a Masters in Business Administration. 

The 2025 Academic All-District® Baseball teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the diamond and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes baseball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
