HIGH POINT, N.C. – The High Point University women's lacrosse team (4-7, 2-0) will look for its third-straight win Friday when the Panthers head to Conway, S.C., for a battle with Coastal Carolina (6-4, 1-1).

First draw between the Panthers and Chanticleers is scheduled for 5 p.m. The game will be broadcast live on the Big South Network, with live stats also available on the CCU website.

Last time out, the Panthers posted a 20-6 home victory over Presbyterian Monday. HPU led 7-5 at the half, but outscored the Blue Hose 13-1 in the second half to cruise to the victory. Junior
Allie Foard led HPU with a program-record 12 points on eight goals and four assists. The 12-point effort marked the highest single game point total by any Div. I player in the entire nation this season.

Emily Meier tied career high in points (5), goals (4) and draw controls (3) while sophomore
Samantha Brown added three points on a goal and two assists.

Kendyl Gardner posted three points on two goals and an assist. With her first goal of the game, Gardner became the fifth player in program history to reach the 100-goal milestone.

STARTING STRONGWith a win on Friday, HPU would begin league play 3-0 for the fourth-straight season. The Panthers are a combined 28-2 (.933) over the program's five-year history.

FOARD FOCUS(ED)In just 11 games this season, junior
Allie Foard already has eclipsed her combined point total from her first two years in a Panther uniform. The Severna Park, Md., native has posted a team-high 35 points and ranks first on the Panthers in both goals (20) and assists (15). She also is third on the team with 17 ground balls on the year. In league play, Foard leads the Big South in points per game (7.5) and is tied for second in assists per game (2.5).

BALANCED IN THE BIG SOUTHThrough two conference games, the Panthers rank second in the Big South in points per game (27.5), goals per game (19.0), assists per game (8.5) and ground balls per game (21.0). Defensively, HPU is performing equally well and is tied for first in goals allowed (4.0/game). On the strength of senior goalkeeper

HISTORY vs. COASTAL CAROLINAFriday's game will mark the third all-time matchup between the Panthers and Chanticleers. HPU is 2-0 all-time vs. Coastal Carolina, including a 1-0 mark in Conway. Last season, the Panthers earned a 13-5 victory on April 6 at Coastal. Junior

A LOOK AT THE CHANTICLEERS (6-4, 1-1)Coastal Carolina was picked to finish fifth in the 2015 Big South preseason poll. Coastal opened conference play with a 9-8 win at Longwood and fell at Liberty, 18-8, on Monday. The Chanticleers are led offensively by senior attack Jen Cosgrove, who leads the team in points (26), goals (19) and assists (7). Junior attack Sara Nolan has chipped in 18 points and has tallied a team-high 22 draw controls on the year. Sophomore goalkeeper Jenna Stover is fifth in the Big South with a 13.00 goals against average and is sixth in save percentage (.422).
