HIGH POINT, N.C. – The High Point University women's track & field team does battle with a trio of Big South programs on Saturday at the Campbell Invitational.

HPU will be joined at the scored meet by host Campbell, Coastal Carolina and Liberty. Field events in Buies Creek get underway at 9 a.m. with the javelin throw. Track action begins at noon with the 3000m steeplechase.

Rickert will then compete in the hammer throw with junior
Jamie Schnuck at 11:30 a.m. Schnuck set a PR for the second-straight week in the hammer throw Friday at the Bill Carson Invite. The impressive mark of 48.22m (158-02) broke an HPU record that had stood for more than 10 years.Â

Schnuck, Kirkpatrick and Bridges will compete in the shot put at 12:45 p.m., and Schnuck and Rickert will then go on to the discus throw at 3:15 p.m. Field events wrap up with the high jump at 3:30 p.m., featuring Bridges and junior Erika Herrmann.

On the track, junior
Erika Peoples kicks off HPU's day with the 3000m steeplechase at noon. Peoples will be joined by junior
Sarah Bode, sophomores
Cozette Collin and
Natalia Ocasio and freshman
Kelly Hayes. Ocasio won the 1500m run at last weekend's Bill Carson Invite with a PR of 4:35.20.

Emily Fischer and sophomore
Jessica Wise will race in the 400m dash ay 1:55 p.m. while Ocasio and Collin will see action in the 800m run 2:50 p.m.

Freshmen
CeAnna Soper and
Ashlynn Schiro will join junior Lilla Lorand in the 400m hurdles at 3:15 p.m., while Fishcer, Wise, Schiro and Ocasio will wrap up the day with the 4x400m relay at 4:45 p.m.
