Monday's game marks the second time in four contests that HPU will play a ranked foe, as the Panthers opened the season at No. 2 North Carolina on Feb. 13.

HPU is coming off a strong 10-6 win over ACC foe Virginia Tech Friday inside Vert Stadium. Leading 5-4 at the half, HPU (1-2) used a 4-1 run over the first 14 minutes of the second half to build a four-goal advantage it would not relinquish. In all, the Panthers outscored the Hokies 5-2 in the second half.

Senior Julia Burns led the strong defensive effort with a career-best 15 saves while allowing just six goals in a full 60 minutes in the cage. The six goal-output by Virginia Tech (1-3) was the lowest total allowed by the HPU defense this season.

The Panthers have allowed just 7.0 goals per game over their last two contests. During that stretch, Burns has allowed just 15 goals while making 26 saves for a 7.50 goals against average and .634 save percentage. Junior defender Christina Del Sesto has caused a team-high four turnovers to lead the HPU defense during the solid two-game stretch.

In the win over the Hokies, HPU featured a well-balanced offensive attack in which five Panthers tallied two points. Freshman Erin Ilchuk picked up the first two points of her career with a pair of assists, while junior Allie Foard registered her third multiple-goal game of the season. Foard leads HPU with eight points on six goals and two assists this season.
