KERNERSVILLE, N.C. – The High Point University women's cross country team wrapped up its split-squad road trip Friday with a third-place finish at the UNCG Spartan Invitational at Beeson Road Park.
East Tennessee State won the 5k race with 23 points, followed by VMI (48) in second. HPU was third with 70 points, followed by Wofford (93), UNCG (151) and North Carolina Central (156).

Lindsey Siska. The Salem, Va., native took sixth place in a time of 19:19.66 to post her best finish (by place) in an HPU uniform. Senior
Sarah Dorrell finished right behind in seventh (19:20.53) to earn her first career top-10, while junior
Erika Peoples placed 11
th in 19:32.95.

st in a time of 20:04.81 and freshman
Lona Williams made her HPU debut with a 25
th-place showing (20:45.32). Senior
Lauren Blackwell placed 26
th (20:59.75) to wrap up the High Point contingent.
