The High Point University women's cross country team grabbed four of the top seven spots in the Greensboro XC Invitational on Saturday at Hagan Stone Park. Sophomore
Erika Peoples led the Panthers with a runner-up finish.
Peoples finished in 19:13.05. Junior
Krista Willard and senior
Colleen Hollowood finished fourth and fifth, respectively. Willard finished in 19:26.87 and Hollowood came in at 19:38.78. Junior
Lauren Blackwell placed seventh in 19:54.64.
The Panthers only entered four people in the race as the rest of the team went to the Virginia Panorama Farms Invitational on Saturday, where the team finished 13th. Freshman
Cozette Collin led HPU with a 34th-place finish in that race.
It was the third week in a row that HPU was racing. The Panthers will next be in action on Oct. 18 at the Blue Ridge Open in Boone, N.C.
