The High Point women's golf team carded a final round 338 to move up to sixth-place at the Fighting Camel Spring Classic on Tuesday at the par 72, 6,020-yard Keith Hills Country Club No. 2 course.

The Panthers, who entered the final round in seventh place, finished with a tournament score of 1,002 (340-324-338).  Kate O'Sullivan finished tied for 26th  at 244 (82-79-83) to lead the way for High Point at the event.

Kim Daniels shot a 250 (84-78-88) in the competition to finish tied for 31st. Other scores at the event for High Point included Jenna Kinnear in 34th at 251 (87-82-82), AnnMarie Dalton 47th with 257 (87-85-85) and Julie Ethier in 63rd at 277 (87-94-96). Freshman Christa Miller, competing as an individual at the tournament, finished in a tie for 50th with a score of 262 (85-86-91).

Georgetown, the leader after day one, finished 13 strokes in front of runner-up Campbell to capture the team crown. Georgetown posted a 54-hole score of 937 followed by Campbell's 950. UNC Greensboro was third at 954 with Gardner-Webb (960) and Mercer (988) rounding out the top five squads.

The Hoyas' Chelsea Curtis carded a tournament total 225 to win the individual medalist title by two shots over UNCG's Ashley Mylton.

The HPU women's golf team returns to tournament play on Mar. 17-19 in the Shamrock Intercollegiate at Tega Cay, S.C.
