HIGH POINT, N.C. – The 2025-26 Academic All-America® Baseball teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, were announced on Tuesday afternoon, naming High Point University's
Frank Kelly to the selection. Kelly was selected to the Second Team All-America for his standout efforts on the diamond and in the classroom during the 2026 baseball season. He becomes the first Big South player since 2024 to be named an Academic All-American in baseball.
Kelly, a native of Lexington, South Carolina started in 54 of the 57 games appeared in at second base for the Panthers this past season. As a Big South First Team All-Conference player, he ranked in the Top 5 of 10 major statistical categories in the Panthers lineup, including on-base percentage (.449—1st), sacrifice bunts (10—1st), doubles (15—2nd), hit by pitch (11—2nd), runs scored (45—3rd), stolen bases (13—3rd), walks (33—3rd) and batting average (.319—5th). He also added three homeruns to his at bats. At second base he recorded a .963 fielding percentage with 97 putouts and was named to the D1 Baseball's Week 12 No. 41 Second Basemen on May 5, 2026. In the classroom he boasted a 3.99 GPA in business administration throughout the year.
