Behind 13 hits and a season-high 15 runs, Charlotte pounded High Point, 15-1, in the final game of a three-game series Tuesday night at Tom and Lib Phillips Field.
HPU fell to 3-7 on the season, and faces Wake Forest Wednesday afternoon in Winston-Salem (2:30 pm).
Adam Floyd paced the 49ers with a career-high three hits, three RBI and three runs scored. Thomas Bowker, Jamie Rusco, George Sandel, Brad Lamm and Brad Erwin each collected two hits for 49ers.
Charlotte's Matt Savage scattered five hits and did not allow any runs over eight innings to improve to 2-0 on the season.
John Wanger (0-2) took the loss for the Panthers.
In the fifth inning, Charlotte increased its lead to 8-0 with three runs on four hits. Rusco led off the inning with his second home run of the season over the right field wall.
Charlotte closed out its scoring with five runs in the seventh inning and two more runs in the eighth inning.
