High Point reclaimed the lead at 9-8 in the sixth when Ryan Thiede lined a two-run homer off the scoreboard off Eagle reliever Jon Wilson. The Panthers then added a big insurance run in the ninth when Jayson Hoffman reached base on a throwing error, moved to third on a single by Matt Richardson and scored on a sacrifice fly by Cronin.
