Campbell scored four runs in the first inning and five in the sixth to roll to a 13-6 win over High Point Tuesday night in non-conference baseball action at Taylor Field.
The Panthers drop to 19-22 on the season, while Campbell improves to 16-25.
Both Mitch Williams and Mike Wineke hit their second home runs of the season for the Camels.
HPU jumped ahead 2-0 in the top of the 1st inning on a John Cavanaugh two-run blast. Justin Keegan started the frame with a single to centerfield and scored on Cavanaugh's fifth home run of the season.
The Camels answered with four runs in the bottom of the inning, thanks to a trio of doubles to take a 4-2 lead. Johnny Keelan started the home of the first with a one out double and scored on a Nic Carter single. Derek Barrows plated Carter with a double of his own to tie the game 2-2. Sal Deanda followed driving home Barrows with a double and eventually scored the final run of the inning on a Williams' single.
The Panthers cut the lead to 4-3 in the top of the second when Chris Vinar reached on a Barrows' throwing error, stole third and scored on a Keegan groundout.
HPU tied the game 4-4 in the top of the third when Andy Harney singled, moved to third on a Ryan Thiede double and scored on a Ken Keesee sac fly.
Williams put the Camels back in front 5-4 with a solo blast to right centerfield in the bottom of the fourth.
High Point went ahead 6-5 in their half of the fifth, highlighted by a Vinar RBI single to right that scored Thiede. Harney tied the game 5-5 when he scored on a Kemp Smith groundout.
Camels' first baseman Wineke put CU ahead for good in the bottom of the fifth with a three-run homer that made it 8-6. Wineke's second blast of the year scored Keelan and Carter who started the inning with a double and single respectively.
CU added five insurance runs in the bottom of the sixth to make it 13-6 thanks to three singles, two doubles and two High Point errors.
Campbell's Chris English (3-2) recorded the win out of the pen, while Rusty Bodenheimer (3-3) suffered the loss.
HPU is back in action Wednesday afternoon against North Carolina A&T at Erath Field. First pitch is at 3:00 pm.
