David McKenna's single in the 8th inning scored Matt Wright and helped UNC Wilmington (5-1) grab a 2-1 victory over homestanding High Point (5-4) Tuesday afternoon at Alumni Field.

Matt McDonnell (2-0) got the win for the Seahawks in relief. He didn't allow a hit in 3 1/3 innings of relief. Rusty Bodenheimer (0-1) took the loss for the Panthers, who have lost two straight.
 
The Panthers drew first blood in the bottom of the 1st when designated hitter Justin Keegan walked, first baseman Ryan Thiede laced a single to right-center, and Keegan scored on a single to left by right fielder Andy Harney.

UNCW tied things up in the 4th when Jason Schindler drew a walk, advanced to second on a balk by HPU starter David White, and scored on a base hit by Brad Denson.

The Panthers host Davidson Wednesday at 3:00 pm.
