Joey Siak threw a two-hit shutout to help Gardner-Webb split a home-and-home series with High Point. The Bulldogs rode Siak to an 8-0 victory Sunday afternoon at Alumni Field.

Siak gave up singles to Andy Harney in the 2nd inning and John Cavanaugh in the 8th, but the Panthers (5-3) couldn't manage another runner the entire game. Siak struck out eight and didn't allow a walk en route to his first win of the season (1-1).

Jon David Milford went 3-for-5 with two runs scored for Gardner-Webb (3-3), which tagged HPU starter Kevin Burch (2-1) for six runs in six innings of work.

High Point hosts UNC Wilmington at 2:30 pm Tuesday at Alumni Field.
