Liberty defeated High Point, 3-1, in volleyball action Thursday night at the Millis Center.

The Lady Flames won by a linescore of 30-19, 30-13, 32-34, and 30-22.

Liberty improves to 14-15 (8-4 in the Big South), while High Point drops to 5-23, 1-10 in league play.

Jennifer Belk led the way for the Flames with 19 kills and 11 digs. Erin McKeown also had a solid match, tallying 15 kills with a .483 hitting percentage. Kristin Colson provided 55 assists for the Lady Flames.

High Point got a match-high 20 kills from Tracyann Pryce and 11 kills from Lindsey Steinhaus. April Shields added 13 digs defensively for the Panthers.

It was the third-straight victory for Liberty, and the fourth-consecutive setback for HPU.

High Point hits the road for a 7:00 pm match at Elon tomorrow. The Panthers took out the Phoenix in five games in their first meeting this season.
