No. 6 – John Brown dunks his way on to ESPN

Redshirt-freshman John Brown helped the High Point University men's basketball team to its most successful season with a Big South North Division title and a program-record 12 league wins. He also became known for his high-flying dunks that caught the attention of ESPN. In his rookie season he was featured SportsCenter's Top Ten Plays three times, made an appearance on SportsNation and had one dunk tweeted out by ESPN.

In his first game at High Point University, Brown threw down an alley-oop against UNC Greensboro. The play was featured at the No. 5 play of the week on ESPN SportsCenter on Nov. 12, 2012.

The very next game, a road win at Appalachian State, featured a dunk by Brown that SportsCenter tweeted about, asking fans where it should rank in the #SCTop10.

Brown made the SportsCenter top 10 two more times with dunks against Wake Forest and Eastern Kentucky. The dunk at Wake Forest was the No. 3 play of the day while his dunk against Eastern Kentucky was No. 4.

Brown's final appearance on the ESPN family was on SportsNation. His 360 slam against Morgan State in the ESPN BracketBuster game was featured in the "20 Things You Might Have Misses This Week" segment.
