No. 13 – Montrello scores first HPU men's lacrosse goal

Today's top moment is best experienced by watching the video. Redshirt-freshman Brendan Montrello forever etched his name in the High Point University men's lacrosse record book by scoring the program's first goal.

In HPU's inaugural game Montrello became the first Panther to score with 9:42 on the clock in the first quarter. He ran up the left alley and shot across the goalie to the top right corner to tie the game with Delaware 1-1.

The Panthers would lose a close one that day, 12-10, but Montrello made history as with the first goal scored for the HPU men's lacrosse program. Montrello finished the season with four goals and four assists as the Panthers picked up three wins in the inaugural season.
