"This is the biggest win of my career, I think," said the 21-year-old Dillon in an article on NASCAR.com after the race. "I ran up there, racing with Kyle [Busch] and Harvick. Harvick was great all night, but [crew chief Danny] Stockman made the call at the end to put us out on two tires."
It was Dillon's second win of the season and moved him from fourth to second in the point standings. Dillon is just three points behind leader James Buescher and three ahead of third-place Johnny Sauter.
Dillon's other win this season came at the Lucas Deep Clean 200 at Nashville Superspeedway on July 22. Dillon has six top-five finishes and 10 top-10s. He has also won four poles.
Dillon is scheduled to make his NASCAR Sprint Cup debut later this season.
Dillon is a Communication major at High Point University and is originally from Lewisville, N.C. He is the grandson of car owner Richard Childress and drives for Richard Childress Racing. More information is available at
