Sports Medicine Visiting Team Information
 

High Point University's sports medicine staff is dedicated to high quality care of its athletics, and those of the visiting team. To ensure quality coverage, a certified athletic trainer will be in attendance at all athletic events. The Millis Sports Medicine Center is located right outside of the gymnasium in the main hallway and will be open two hours prior to the start of the contest. The Witcher Sports Medicine Center is on the ground floor of the Witcher Athletic Center to the left of the ticket booth. Go through the double doors and the sports medicine center will be on the left.

High Point University's Athletic Training staff provides the following services for visiting teams:
• Access to the Sports Medicine Center is available on game days, but scheduling must be made in advance
• Hydro-collator packs and taping tables will be in visiting locker rooms if available by HPU
• Ice, water, ice bags, biohazard waste containers, and cups are provided for the bench
• Emergency equipment, splint bags, crutches, and spine boards will be available on home/side benches for games
• Physician will be on-call or on-site depending on availability and sport
• HPU athletic trainer will always be on-site

Note: If your team is traveling without an athletic trainer, please notify us 48-hours in advance so that we can make proper arrangements. The team must travel with a letter signed by an athletic trainer stating the type of treatment or taping for each individual athlete.
