HIGH POINT, N.C. — On Friday, the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) announced its 2026 CRCA Scholar-Athlete Award recipients as seven High Point University women's rowers were garnered with the prestigious honor.
The Panthers recognized for their strong commitment to success in the classroom and on the water were
Josephine Chapuis,
Madelyn Cummings,
Caitlin Enright,
Carolyn Fox,
Audrey Houle,
Anna Venditti, and
Riley Verner. It marks the second-straight CRCA Scholar-Athlete Award for Enright, Houle and Verner, who all earned the accolade a year ago.
The CRCA honored 1,174 exceptional student-athletes who represent the highest standards of excellence in both academic achievement and athletic performance across all divisions of collegiate women's rowing.
This year's honorees averaged an impressive GPA above 3.59, with 76 student-athletes achieving a perfect 4.0. These numbers reflect the dedication, time management, and resilience required to excel in demanding collegiate sports while pursuing rigorous academic goals.
To be eligible for the award, all collegiate rowers must meet all institutional and conference eligibility rules, must be in their second through fifth year of eligibility, and must hold a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher through the end of the fall semester/winter quarter. Athletically, must have rowed in at least 75 percent of the team's spring races in an NCAA or IRA (lightweight) eligible boat, and must have competed in an NCAA boat at their Conference Championship or National Championship.
