HIGH POINT, N.C. – High Point University women's rowing is set to begin a new chapter this fall as the Panthers announce their 2026 fall schedule, featuring four regattas across North Carolina, Florida, and Virginia.  

The 2026 fall slate will mark an exciting time for the Panthers as they continue to build the foundation of the program while entering a new era at the Oak Hollow Lake with the opening of HPU's new boathouse.  

Head Coach Jessica Deitrick said: "Our fall season is designed to challenge this team, build momentum, and give us opportunities to measure our growth throughout the semester. We'll open the season in Jacksonville, Florida, at the First Coast Head Race, and then continue to build toward our final test at the Rivanna Romp in Virginia. Each race will give us a chance to compete, learn, and continue developing our identity as a team. We're excited to compete, learn, and continue developing our identity as a team. We're excited about the work ahead and the opportunity to see this group come together throughout the fall."  

The Panthers will put their preparation to the test for the first time on Saturday, October 10, traveling to Jacksonville, Florida, for the First Coast Head Race. Known as Florida's oldest head race rowing regatta, the event will give HPU its first opportunity to compete this fall as they begin their four-regatta slate.  

Two weeks later, the Panthers will return to their home waters for the High Point Autumn Rowing Festival on Saturday, October 24, in High Point. The home regatta will give High Point the opportunity to compete against a strong field while racing on Oak Hollow Lake in front of its home crowd.  

HPU will travel to Virginia on Saturday, October 31, for the Head of the Occoquan in Fairfax Station, Virgina, hosted by the Occoquan Boat Club. 

High Point will close out their fall schedule on Sunday, November 8, at the Rivanna Romp in Charlottesville, Virgina. The event will be hosted by the University of Virgina.  

With a new boathouse on Oak Hollow Lake and four opportunities to compete this fall, the Panthers will look to continue the growth of HPU Rowing and build momentum heading into the spring season.
