Four Women's Rowers Earn CSC Academic All-District Recognition

HIGH POINT, N.C. — Four High Point University women's rowing student-athletes were named to the 2026 Academic All-District® Women's At-Large team, selected by College Sports Communicators, which recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in competition and in the classroom.

The HPU honorees were Madelyn Cummings, Caitlin Enright, Audrey Houle, and Riley Verner. All four Panthers participated at the inaugural MAC Championship in May after completing the second season as a Division I program. Houle and Verner competed in the first varsity eight, while Cummings and Enright were a part of the two varsity eight. It's the third academic accolade for each Panther as each were named to the All-MAC Academic Team after being tabbed a CRCA Scholar-Athlete.

To earn CSC Academic All-District recognition, the student-athlete must be a sophomore athletically and academically, maintain at least a 3.50 grade-point average, and adhere to certain criteria per nominating sport. Eligible nominees for women's crew must compete in 90 percent of a team's competitions or compete as a member of an NCAA boat (1V8, 2V8, 1V4) at a conference or national championship.
