CHARLOTTE, N.C. -  On Thursday afternoon, the Big South Conference announced the women's track & field athletes of the week, naming Hight Point University's Emily Romano as the Field Athlete of the Week for the first time this outdoor season.

Romano competed in the pole vault at the Charlotte Invitational and won the event with a 4.11m clear to win her second first-place title this outdoor season.

High Point competes at the Aggie Classic at NC A&T on Friday, April 31 Saturday, May 1. The Panthers will also compete at the Duke Twilight on Sunday, May 3.
