Head Coach Chelsea Banbury: "Radford came to play today. They shot extremely well and played with a lot of pace, causing us problems. It took us a while to settle into the game and the lineup that we had on the floor. Hat's off to them, they came ready and got us on our heels early."
High Point struggled offensively in the opening half falling behind early and was unable to recover after Radford shot 68% from the field in the opening two quarters. The Panthers went into halftime trailing 42-21.
The Panthers showed second half improvement, outscoring Radford 20-15 in the third quarter to cut into the deficit. Anna Hager led the charge, knocking down three three-pointers in the quarter as High Point began to find a rhythm.
High Point continued to compete in the second half but was unable to overcome the early deficit.
Hager finished with a career-high 26 points, while Chana Paxixe added 13 off the bench.
Up Next: The Panthers return home next week when Longwood University comes to town for a Wednesday, February 11 match up. Tip-off is set for 7:00 p.m. inside the Qubein Center.
